UUUNNNIII WHERE HAVE YOU BEEEEEEEN?!?!?!

Hi everyone!

FIRST let me apologize for the state of the forum. I've been away on business with Marie attending the Autism and ADHD show in Birmingham and Liverpool, and I haven't had time or energy to do anything else.

NEXT, the shows were great! We saw all kinds of other organisations and companies, met all kinds of lovely people, and I even bought a goofy new squish ball filled with clear gel and smiley beads!

FINALLY, I'm BEYOND EXHAUSTED, but I will go forth and clean up the forum over the coming days!!

@UnicornSpoon - I really appreciate your help and time doing this, but it seems like an endless battle keeping the forum clean

Is there any way to improve the automatic spam filtering on the forum? There seems to be a lot of spam from new accounts at the moment.

Could links from new members be restricted, first posts held for moderation, or reported posts automatically hidden pending review?

It might reduce the amount of manual reporting and deleting needed.

Plus I really do think the spam may put new and existing genuine users off from posting. Perhaps a poll in the mentees cafe on "whether the spam puts them off using the forum ? y/n" may be good to ask

Yeah it's a never-ending battle... I apologize if it seems like I've dropped the ball lately, I'll try and get better again.

I'll make the poll at some point too, and I'll talk to Marie about hiding reported posts as well.
