Hello everyone.
I wanted to introduce myself to you all. My name is Belgamine and I am in Bristol. I am a neurosurgical nurse by trade and a mother of 4 children. 1 of which is ASD and ADHD (diagnosed) one is suspected ASD and ADHD (not yet diagnosed).
I have recently been diagnosed as combined type ADHD and I am awaiting an Autism Assessment although to be honest, I don't really need it to tell me that I am, I know I am. I just stupidly need the diagnosis to allow myself to access resources for autistic individuals because my brain tells me I can't without it - my being here now is me trying to fight back against that self imposed rule.
I found yourselves via the book, Unmasking Autism by Devon Price which I have been reading recently and man has my entire near 40 years on this planet never made sense to me more!
I am a massive geek, love my RPG games, MMORPGs, card games like Magic: The Gathering and painting Warhammer models!
