Doe This Look / Sound Like ADHD

Hi.

I am diagnosed Autistic, but have recently also been referred for an ADHD assessment.

When looking at the classic traits, I can see the reasons why the referral might have been made.

I have included some extracts from my school reports below;

Do you think this sounds like ADHD might be a possibility?Many Thanks.

Im no expert but possibly, reports show indication of not being able to start tasks or explain things in your head

There is a lot of overlap, and some points could be seen through the autism lens, but looked at differently could also indicate adhd

Like not being able to explain your thinking, could be a social issue autism , but could be a attention recall issue adhd

Consistent ADHD pattern, I think from your reports

• Distractibility
• Difficulty starting/finishing tasks
• Variable focus
• Chatting / impulsive engagement
• “Could do better if focused” pattern

Thankyou for your very helpful reply. Yes, my mum made me keep all of my old reports for me & my brothers - theirs was back in the 70s & she still has them all haha

if you can type some of the reports into excel and then upload to ChatGPT (if Ok with that) - its almost as good as an ND at pattern recognition

columns can be : report date, subject, comment, grade or % mark

So for each subject in each year put that in a new row

I bet if you put a year or two in (we used to get 2 reports a year I think) - you probably don't need more than that say 4 sets of reports - perhaps try first two years of secondary school , as the transition point is known to be difficult for NDs

Some AI unless paid version aren't very good at pulling text out of images - hence if you fairly quick at typing its easier to type them. I mean my own looking at some teacher comments (who complained at my hand-writing at every chance) then I think AI would find their writing difficult to read

As AuDHD there's noo way I'm going to look at the many images you uploaded - but do let us know how you get on, if you do use something like ChatGPT (which has better privacy than some other AI tools)
