Should I stop telling people that I have ASD?

I've recently opened a profile on a dating site and have had several chats, but no meets yet. In the beginning they respond well and tell me I am nice and they enjoy chatting to me.
After a while, I tell them outright that I have recently been diagnosed with ASD. Most say thus isn't a problem. Some say it makes more attractive to them. One said it would be a problem. But I can guarantee that everytime they wait until I'm off line and then delete me.
I believe that honesty is always best but this I am now questioning.

Hi Broady,

This is really sad. Shame on those women. To your face they make themselves feel better by 'accepting' you, but then when they think you're not looking they delete you anyway. That's cowardly and disrespectful and they don't deserve you!

That being said... in an ideal world people wouldn't pull stunts like this. Until such a time, it might be worth considering not telling until you get into a stable, committed, long-term relationship. To be clear, don't mask yourself, just don't reveal your diagnosis.

Good luck in your dating adventures!

Hi Uncle Broady,
I'm really sorry to hear abour your experience with this. I just wanted to add that I've heard a lot of similar things about a lot of similar issues in relation to online dating apps. I don't think I'd cope with it for a minute! I guess what I'm saying is there are many dishonest people on there who say one thing, but demonstrate themselves more authentically by their actions. Just remember; that defines them: Not you. You keep being your wonderful self, and if anyone on there is right for you, they'll show up šŸ«‚
