Scam posts warning - DO NOT CLICK LINKS

Marie and Bethany are aware of the issue with the influx of scammers and are seeking to resolve this. Hopefully they will be getting around to banning them/removing threads.

I am reporting the threads I see as often as possible, and commenting when I have reported, so if you spot a thread which has no reply - I haven't got around to it yet. I suspect the forum needs to change verification processes to prevent people from being able to sign up so easily.

Meanwhile please DO NOT CLICK on any links posted by new users no matter how tempting they may look as these will at best try to make money out of you and at worst may infect your computer with viruses and steal your data.

would be easier to turn the forum off for the time being?, if they can, as its almost unusable given 95% of recent posts are spam

To me it seems like until there's a technical solution in place (which I understand could depend on platform and cost to implement) it would be better to pull the forum in the short term

So the wonderful incredible Marie may or may not have hired a lowkey moderator... and I may or may not be pretty good at it so far... so these scam and spam posts may or may not be completely and utterly doomed...

Wish me luck! Hopefully I can keep this place clean and tidy!

Hello again!

I HAZ UPDATE!! So as a moderator, I can see threads that have been HIDDEN but NOT DELETED. It's just clutter, so I cleaned out all the hidden junk! Next, I'll be sweeping through again, making sure all the junk is gone from all the forums! The recent perpetrators have had ALL their IP addresses AND their accounts banned, AND of course ALL THEIR JUNK THREADS DELETED!!!

I'll be skimming the nonsense off the top of all the forums every 10 minutes or so all day every day, so hopefully this forum can get back to ACTUALLY forum-ing!
