Trying to find ANYWHERE Adult Daughter & I can get help/ support. I had an amazing counsellor but ethically she could not help as I would have talked about Daughter in counselling. Someone said RELATE, but that wasn't available either. We LOVE each other obviously but ME/ MY AUTISM ADHD , DIFFICULTIES & things about me due to it drive her insane. It would seem as I u derstand it, we are OPPISITE ENDS OF THE SPECTRUM?? I was!! Not so much now as have complex grief, lively, bubbly , outgoing , talk to anyone anywhere ( latter is still correct, part of HER problem) she ALWAYS finds me HIGHLY EMBARASSING anywhere everywhere. If we go a walk she doesnt want to talk to people or me to, she thinks people dont want me to talk to them & they want to be left alone. If in a car or walking she regularly asks well ' tells' me to STOP TALKING. why speak everything you are thinking .... etc. If I am with someone I EXPECT conversation !!!!????? Is that not normal? Even for autism ?? Anyway, that's just a gust!! Anyone ANY IDEA PLEASE where we might get some therapy, counselling or ... together. Please My knowledge is from professionally working with young people with autism & otger similar conditions , hers is too but MUCH HIGHER & HIGHLY EDUCATED.I am not that bright.knowledge from experience working, life & reading. ? Family therapists???? Any advice or knowledge of poss suppirt welcome. Knowing me, type all this & wont reach anyone🙄 well done if you got this far, Im not good at EASILY explaining things x
